Omega Centauri Cluster (NGC 5139)

This is the king of globular clusters, with an estimated 10 million stars. Although it can be seen as far North as 40 degrees, this is definitely a majestic sight in the Southern Hemisphere. This photo was taken from my backyard observatory in Curitiba, Brazil.

Distance: 15.8K Light Years
Location: Constellation Centaurus
Camera: Canon EOS 60Da
Telescope: Takahashi FCT-150 (f/7)
