The Triangulum Galaxy, also known as M33, is a beautiful spiral galaxy situated about 3 million light-years away in the constellation Triangulum. It is the third-largest member of the Local Group of galaxies, which includes the Milky Way and the Andromeda Galaxy. M33 is notable for its vast regions of active star formation, with prominent H II regions scattered throughout its spiral arms. These regions are filled with hot, young stars that light up the surrounding nebulae, creating a spectacular view.
