old crisp nights are the best for astrophotography. Had a couple on 12/11 and 12/12 so I present the cosmic Jellyfish.
The Jellyfish Nebula (IC 443) is a supernova remnant located in the constellation Gemini the celestial twins and is typical of the aftermath of a stellar explosion, the ultimate fate of a massive star. This nebula is approximately 5000 light-years from Earth and is estimated to be roughly 70 light-years in size.
I always find it extraordinary that we can witness the effect of such a spectacular cosmic event with just a telescope and camera.
